5 Amazing Margarita Spots
There really nothing like a good margarita on a . . .any day really. Its a simple refreshing drink that’s a favorite for some many weekenders and has withstood the test of time. With different options on how you take yours and what you top it off it, we thought it would be helpful and fun to let you know about some of the top margarita spots in the city.
Texican Café
My personal favorite is the Raspberry Frozen with sugar on the rim. But they have a great mango frozen margarita with chile powder is amazing as well. To pair it off we always go with a bowl of Chile Con queso and warm tortilla chips. Texican Café now has four locations, but Lamar is always our go-to!

Azul Tequila
Azul tequila is a small little restraint in south Austin. They have over 60 tequilas to chose from. If you are in Austin, you must try the blue margarita. It has tequila, triple sec and their famous margarita mix. While enjoying your drink on a Friday night you can expect to hear mariachi relamago.
Gabriela’s downtown
Feeling a little spicy? Why not stop by Gabriela’s and try one of their famous micheladas. They can vary between shrimp or fruit. What once was an east Austin home is now a hot spot for Margaritas and Tacos.

Baby A’s
Serving Austin for 30 years the restaurant has a famous Purple Rita. With a limit of 2, you will want to savor every sip. No one really knows what’s in it, but if you are wanting something simpler you can always try a Strawberry Rita or stick with a Lime Rita. Don’t forget to try one of their signature Tex-Mex dishes.

Maudie’s tex mex
Looking for a sweety and spicy mix? Try Maudie’s Pineapple jalapeno rita. Maudie’s started out as a café in 1954 but by 1993 it was an Tex-mex Austin icon. Now Maudie’s has several locations all over Austin. Don’t forget to pair your margarita with some delicious shrimp quesadillas and queso!
